A new ISO standard, ISO 45001, on occupational health and safety management system requirements is being produced by a Project Committee, ISO PC 283, with the intention of publication in October 2016. The new ISO standard, ISO 45001 will eventually replace OHSAS 18001 and it is being designed to integrate more easily with ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management). ISO 9001 and 14001 are themselves undergoing revision and are due for publication in 2015. A draft version of ISO 45001 may be made available for consultation in Spring 2015, however, since it is being produced by an International Project Committee, ISO PC 283, and a large number of responses are expected, it is taking a long time to produce. The intention is to publish the final version in October 2016. The development committee (ISO PC 283) Anticipated milestones are: - Quarter 2 2014: Committee draft
